Introduction

The Junior Nursery Program is designed for young children aged 2 to 3 years as they begin their early learning journey. This program focuses on sensory development, social skills, basic communication, and motor skills through play-based activities. It provides a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and emotional security.


Program Objectives

Program Structure

1. Morning Routine & Social Interaction

Activities:

  • Welcome songs and greetings
  • Free play with building blocks, soft toys, and puzzles
  • Simple social games to encourage interaction

2. Circle Time & Language Development

Activities:

  • Storytelling with interactive books
  • Simple rhymes and action songs
  • Name recognition games and introducing new words

3. Sensory & Fine Motor Activities

Activities:

  • Playdough and clay modeling
  • Finger painting and color recognition
  • Sensory bins (water, sand, rice, fabric)

4. Snack Time & Hygiene Practice

  • Teaching children how to wash hands before and after eating
  • Practicing using a spoon and cup
  • Encouraging polite table manners

5. Outdoor Play & Gross Motor Skills

Activities:

  • Running, jumping, and climbing activities
  • Ball games and obstacle courses
