Our kindergarten is an educational space designed to guide young children aged 6 months to 5 years old in their first learning.
At the CEC, we do everything we can to ensure that each child flourishes and develops to the maximum of his or her abilities.

At CEC Midtown, we believe that each child is unique and grows at their own pace. Our pedagogical approach is centered on play, exploration and well-being. It aims to support each child in his or her overall development, while respecting his or her needs and interests.
At the CEC, our educational approach is directly inspired by the principles of the French nursery school, combining play, autonomy and discovery to awaken the curiosity and language of toddlers. As in France, we emphasize the development of the child The pedagogy of our kindergarten is both stimulating and caring. It is based on a balance between structured activities and free play. Its objective is to promote the overall development of the child: social, emotional, cognitive and physical by relying on methods adapted to his age, pace and needs.

We welcome children in a language bath in French or English from an early age. At the CEC, we support each child so that he or she keeps his or her curiosity intact and develops, day after day, the pleasure of learning. We teach children to focus on a task, to be autonomous, to cooperate in solving problems, we exercise their memory and their skills in order to prepare for their entry into school.
Our days are punctuated by a variety of times, designed to stimulate all areas of awakening: language, first notions of mathematics, motor skills, discovery of the world, and artistic expression. Each activity, whether group or individual, is designed to adapt to the age and needs of the children, in a balance between reassuring routine and captivating novelties.

We serve three meals: breakfast, lunch and a snack.
Our cook prepares fresh and balanced meals for the children every day. It features a variety of cuisine, mixing Egyptian dishes, French flavours and Canadian specialties from time to time, to get the child used to eating healthy to grow well.

Dr. Aref, our pediatrician, is on duty twice a week to monitor the growth, health and medical needs of the children.
Rasha Elanany, our psychologist, intervenes once a week to support their emotional and social development, in a caring and attentive environment.
At the CEC, our educators combine experience, kindness and creativity to support each child in his or her awakening and autonomy. Trained in active pedagogies, they make sure to offer a stimulating, safe and joyful environment, where play and learning rhyme with pleasure. Their mission? Encourage curiosity, language and socialization, while respecting the rhythm of each person.
